Investigation of "Oil" profits will end up like the Enron trials and no
one will even remember it next year...The big buck wins on this one, the rich gets richer and the poor, well, no where else to go.


Senators Want Oil Profit Answers

(AP) _ Top executives of three major oil companies will be on hot seats in Washington next week.

They'll be asked why some of their industry's estimated 96 billion dollars in record profits this year shouldn't be used to help people having trouble paying their energy bills.

Sources say the final list of witnesses to testify before a Senate hearing hasn't been completed, but it includes Exxon Mobil's Lee Raymond, Jim Mulva of ConocoPhillips and John Hofmeister, president of the U-S unit of Royal Dutch Shell.

2. We haven't been told about G.H.W.B.'s role in Iran-Contra, yet,
either. But those vice-presidential records from that era are still mysteriously (and illegally) sealed.......
