Did ANY Repiglican Speak at Rosa Parks' Service?
I saw Bill Clinton, Obama, Jesse Jackson and Sharpton speak.

Did America notice who is on the side of a hero like Parks?

Do the repubs feel an ounce of shame that when Rosa Parks passed away they were not invited to have a presence?

3. What would Rosa Parks have in common with the GOP?
Nothing at all. One of the right wing bushbot sites said that the Blacks should get on their knees and thank White Americans for bringing them from Africa to this country.

4. The Bushits consider themselves royalty
so they're more concerned with the party for Charles and what's her name. The other repukes are too busy writing books trashing liberals or memorizing Rove talking points. Governing our country is HARD work you know.

14. The real question is why would a repub get a negative response?
Answer: because they have OPPOSED civil rights.

10. Oh man, another one???
Welcome to DU!

I would like to think, that at a service in honor of a person who took a stand for equality, that ANYONE who wished to come and pay their respects would be welcomed, regardless of race, color, creed, political affiliation, or sexual orientation.

11. So, civil rights means "liberal"?
Edited on Wed Nov-02-05 11:42 PM by TahitiNut
You say, "The public services for Mrs. Parks, like anything else, are as much a liberal pep rally as anything. Remember the services of the MN Senator killed in the airplane crash?"

I see. Well, I'm glad that's clear. Obviously, that means conservatives are in favor of a return to slavery. Yep. Figures. Funny how Former Rep. J.C. Watts' name was easy to remember and Sen. Paul Wellstone is so easy to forget.

RIP, nationwide.

15. It's funny how often freepers think it's a COINCIDENCE that dems are
associated with civil rights advances.

18. Not hardly
they can't show up and have to acknowledge that black people are human and have rights. That would destroy their campaign strategy.
