Perhaps a more conservative one than some of us would like at times, but he's definitely not a moderate/conservative republican.

You know, I'd love to see Reid march into his office and give him an ultimatum: line up with your party, or leave it. Alito's opposition to the FMLA alone places him in opposition to what Democrats (and mainstream America) stand for.
