From my Dem Party Newsletter for November:
National Democratic Party Chair Governor Howard Dean announced a plan to place field representatives in every state in order to assist local and state parties in building their organization and in election planning.
Andrea Nair has been selected as the Southeast Wisconsin Field Organizer for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
Andrea spoke briefly at the October meeting and she will be present at many of our monthly meetings. Andrea will be working with our party to organize ward captains and other leaders. She will also work to provide them with training and support. Andrea is encouraging anyone who wants to help to call her at the number listed above.
Howard Dean has a goal to have a house party in every county in every state on November 15th. He will make a nationwide conference call with the house parties. Andrea is looking for someone who would be willing to host a party. This will be a great way to kick off our grassroots efforts one year before the November 2006 elections! If you cannot host the house party consider attending and initiating our planning for a successful 2006.
Thought it was a good sign that stuff is happening, even though it doesn't mean a ton to folks outside of Wisconsin. Thought I'd share anyway.
