The media's already talking about Alito rather than Plamegate.
Not that I'm surprised or anything, and not that it isn't also an important issue. Should we be worried about it? Does it matter if the populace is distracted from the special prosecutor and the criminal activity of key members of this administration?

3. That's exactly how it happened last time
Fitz was able to work without the spotlight on him--exactly the way he likes it.

4. It's all part of the Plan.
If you want to be able to continue your way of life for a couple more decades, then we've got to keep the Neocons in place. This is the Plan.

If you're willing to sacrifice, give up consumptive ways and become more fully human, then we should throw the bums out. Unfortunately, the Democrats have no such plan.

5. The shift in coverage is not surprising nor is it totally unwarranted
in my view. After all, we are talking about a SCOTUS justice, appointed for life and yadda yadda. This deserves the attention it's getting and Alito deserves scrutiny.

That being said, it was an obvious political maneuver by Chimp to change the subject / tone.

The investigation is only beginning, in terms of time and scope. Only the tip 'o the iceberg...

7. in yesterday's WH press conference
6 of the first 9 questions were about Plamegate. Not that successful a diversion. In any case, I suspect Fitzgerald is rather glad not to not have reporters on his tail morning, noon, and night. ;-)
