There are only two possibilities if there are a lot of indictments
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 08:47 PM by Walt Starr
1) Bush was complicit.

2) Bush was incompetent.

For my part, things are shaping up for the Busheviks left after the indictments to make a case for number 2.

Either way, it's lose lose.

Of course, there's also the possibility the Bush is either indicted (unlikely) or named an unindicted co-conspirator (more likely).

9. Didn't Reagan's Notes...
Didn't Reagan's recently released notes indicate that he was much more 'hands on' than previously thought? So, maybe he was just acting when he played the doddering, senile fool.

4. 3) Bush surrounds himself with corrupt henchmen.
That doesn't mean he is directly complicit. Nor that he is incompetent.

But it's definitely a character issue.

:hippie:

7. For a Chief Executive of a nation to surround themself
with corrupt henchmen is incompetence or criminality on the highest of orders.

12. As with every other debacle, it's both, reinforcing each other.
I usually think of it as an incompetent man unable to see how his own craven selfishness hurts the country.

If Bush was smart enough to see how he was hurting the country, would his ethics force him to change?

If his ethics were stronger, would he work harder to be a better president?

Being both stupid and selfish, he is stuck right where he is.

This president can't improve.
