Fitzmas Day falling close to Halloween...what does it mean???

I say Bushco has brought some really bad mojo down on themselves.

Call it karma, the revenge of Marie Laveau the Voodoo Queen, or what ever you like, but I find it kind of cool that Halloween may be a real cause of celebration this year.

1. A consolidation of holidays...
In the interest of cost-effectiveness and to increase productivity.

4. It means nothing,
because no one knows anything.

And, if you're that superstitious, don't you know that counting chickens before they're hatched is totally bad luck?

Wait. Be patient. It's possible no indictments will be brought.

And, even if they are, do not forget that it will be a sad, sad time for our country, regardless at the glee we might feel at the personal vindications.

It's all horribly tragic, the damage done, the lives lost, the lives ruin. Please, we cannot forget that.

14. Sorry, I'm not going to grieve for criminals getting caught.

And it would be far worse for our nation for this administration to continue as before.

I will definitely celebrate if these people are held accountable.

Admittedly, no one knows what will happen....

17. You didn't read what I wrote
Celebrating whatever indictments might or might not come is perfectly understandable. Hell, I'll celebrate, too.

But, along with that, we must keep in mind the damage these people have done to us, to the American people, to our beloved country, to generations to come, to people in other lands who did nothing wrong.

We must remember that, because, if we don't, we're overlooking the singularly most important aspect of what has happened: the consequences of their misdeeds, and the debts that have been laid on individuals, families, and nations.

Until we know something, I continue to mourn what is being done to and by my country. It would be nice to celebrate the triumph of the law, at least in the charging, but I wouldn't bet on anything at this point.

16. Too bad Charles Schultz is gone ...
... wouldn't you LOVE a Peanuts special, "It's Fitzmas, Charlie Brown."

Charlie, Lucy and the gang would be decorating the school gym and rehearsing their parts as Defendants on trial. Peppermint Patty would read the indictments (accompanied by a suitable dirge performed by Schroeder). Of course, the indominatable Snoopy would COMMERCIALIZE the entire thing by decorating his dog house with mug shots and WANTED: DEAD or ALIVE posters ---

And hey, come to think of it, I'm with Snoopy on THIS one!

22. I prefer to call it "All Saints Day"
the day when you remember the great people who went before us; Martin Luther, nailed the 95 thesis to the church door on Oct. 31 and changed history; Dr. Martin Luther King changed history; Dietrich Bonhoeffer tried to kill Hitler and was put to death trying to change history; William Stringfellow wrote "My People is the Enemy" trying to change history during Viet Nam. there are so many others to remember. the Saints who have gone before us....
