Fiancial Times on Scotty McClellan: No One Laughed
Edited on Sun Oct-16-05 05:06 PM by understandinglife
In a report entitled White House prepares for possible indictmentswritten by Caroline Daniel and posted ~ an hour ago on the Financial Times website I read a paragraph that I think each of you will enjoy.

To wit:

Last week, there were signs that the White House's usual clinical competence at staging events was coming unstuck. In one omission, broadcasters were able to watch live footage of military officials prepping soldiers in Iraq for a satellite question and answer session with Mr Bush.

In an awkward moment on Friday, Scott McClellan, White House spokesman, was asked whether the administration was distracted by the CIA investigation. He attempted a joke, pretending to ignore the question. No one laughed. He tried again, his eyes swivelling away from the podium. “I'm sorry, I'm a little distracted up here,” he said. Again, no one laughed.

Unless they fill the White House Press room with Gannon clones, Scotty, or anyone else they try to get to stand at that podium, is in for nothing but misery.

Peace.

5. If Scotty weren't such a sycophantic wing-nut, I would almost feel sorry
for him. But since he is, I love to watch his oversized head gleaming with sweat beads as he tries to put a positive spin on the Mis-adventures of the mis-administration...and the hits just keep on comin'.

8. Death and war are a joke to Simple Scott!
He thinks just like his crime boss; make money as fast as you can and fuck the public. Fucking up the future for generations to come is not funny.

14. I thought that press briefing with that fat loser on how the White House
is pushing Meirs' religion as a "qualification" for SCOTUS was HILARIOUS...he practically ran out of the room with his idiot grin pasted on his face...
didn't see this one; will have to hope for reruns.
