You know it is coming.

1. Yes, well imagine Bush's language in private!
I have the feeling the Whitehouse hasn't echoed such venom since Nixon haunted the place.

2. True dat. It's already started, along with ...
"Criminalizing the political process."

Gee, what was Watergate? Rove is who criminalized the political process by using crimes to advance his political objectives.

3. On Countdown last night KO and Craig Crawford discussed the
Miller/Fitzgerald previous connection regarding the Islamic Foundation:

-snip-
The legal fight over the CIA leak case isn't the only time Miller and Fitzgerald have been at odds.

In fall 2001, Miller and Times Washington correspondent Philip Shenon were reporting on Islamic charities suspected of funnelling money to al Qaeda.

At that time, Fitzgerald was leading the prosecution as the newly named U.S. attorney in Chicago. He and the Justice Department argued that Miller's calls while working the story tipped off a foundation to an impending raid -- a charge the Times rejects.

In June 2002, Miller wrote about an Egyptian-American pilot who had been a crucial informant against al-Qaeda in the bombings of U.S. embassies in Africa. The pilot said the American government failed to live up to promises to compensate him and to protect him from severe reprisals in Egypt.

and interpreted it as a smear against Fitzgerald. I felt the story was a further indication of how involved Judith Miller is in pushing the Neocon agenda. Is this the smear you are referring to?

11. I wrote to them, and suggested another interpretation, that it showed how
involved Miller was in pushing the Neocon agenda.

I also suggested that they delve in deeper to Able Danger. Perhaps Millers tips were meant to hide connections to funding the terrorist. It's a slimey web they've wove.

4. This guy indicted Osama...
...and now he will be public enemy #1 for going after Bush's buddies. Its bizarro world.

The other emerging talking point regarding his previous dealings with Miller are just as irrational. He accused her of leaking info to a islamic charity, under investigation for funding terrorism. When we find out once again, she has no regard for national security matters, they spin it to make Fitzgerald the overzealous nut job.

5. It needs to be countered with the truth...
He was appointed by Bush's own AG. The same guy that proposed the Patriot Act.

The problem here is that the repukes are so used to dirty dealing and back stabbing and lying and cronyism that they cannot conceive of the law working against one of their own.

7. Too Late
It's far too late for that. Besides, the position he got in Illinois, and that of special investigator for the Plame affair both came at the behest of REPUBLICAN Senators.

Also, the easy retort it to say there is no such thing as overzealousness when it comes to national security. If it wasn't related to national security, it wouldn't be illegal to name names in the first place. So, any such accusation is already checkmated.
