Bush SPEEDS AID to Pakistan!
WASHINGTON - President Bush said Sunday the United States is sending cash and eight helicopters in response to Pakistan's plea for international assistance with earthquake recovery.

"Thousands of people have died, thousands are wounded, and the United States of America wants to help," Bush said from the Oval Office.

Wonderful.

Would that he had cared as much about the dead and wounded in New Orleans.

2. Just great
Pakistan's been putting it to the US since 9/11, so there we are, helping them out while out own people sink deeper daily.

Suckass.

16. If everyone knew the truth of it,
they'd pass out. Pervez Musharraf hit the Jackpot with Bush. He has raked in so much dough, it's unbelievable. I think he had $4 billion dollars worth of loans forgiven. He's been given MiG fighters, he's been given the OK to become a nuclear power.

All courtesy of the White House. They LOVE Musharraf.

20. Not to mention,
Pakistani's ISI, who owns this White House, and has, from Day One.

And who has taken care of the Taliban in Afghanistan and Osama bin Laden very nicely.

Great bunch of guys, those Paki leaders.

4. He "hopped to" on THAT crisis, didn't he?
Faster than 911, faster than Katrina, faster than Rita!!!

Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to line the pockets of his dictator pals with a single stroke of his mighty pen!!!!!

You gotta wonder how some of our poor bastard fellow citizens, dispersed from NOLA, sleeping on an army cot in some halfassed shelter out in the middle of nowhere, eating lousy food, not knowing what the next day, week or month will bring, are taking this news.

7. $100,000 from the US that's all Bush gave for this tragedy and
YES if only he responded to his own people with such haste...I think he's an evil dictator like the one they had in Iraq before he went in for oil.

10. He is SUPPOSED to respond to his own people with haste.
And the repukes will still find ways to spin the issue onto dems...

The people aren't innocent either when they pull the usual "yeah, but the other side did this" shit. We ALL have to grow up in that regard.

8. §100 000 ????
OK for the helicopters (they are already plenty in the area)...

I understand that the effort in Louisiana demands a lot of investment (and there plenty of victims from Stan too), but I notice that all the international teams are already at work or on their way. Imagine how many people could have been saved in NOLA if they have been ALLOWED to fly in....

12. Whatever happened with the tsnumani money
he promised supposedly and then renegged (sp?) like on everything else that doesn't serve a purpose directly for him? Did he ever send it?

Even Viet Nam sent Katrina victims $100,000.

11. I really think we should help...
but the big problem is, Dubya has already bankrupted the treasury on his tax cuts for the super-rich, his adventure in Iraq, and offshoring Anerican jobs to the cheapest sweatshops he can find for his corporate owners.

Fact is, we have to borrow from China and others to fund anything like this. That's not smart. Let China help them. We're broke.

14. We can send medics to help!
I agree, let the fat cats pay and that would not be the U.S. right now. Now the U.S. corporations are fat enough to help!

18. This is our responsibility, but not our own country?
A country that is harboring a dangerous terrorist gets aid faster than our own people.

Isn't it the Pakistani government's fault for not being prepared? Why should we bail them out? :sarcasm:
