1. He rescinded the GA gas tax for Sept. Then he cancelled 2 days of school
in order to "save gas" by not running school buses. He caused massive panic and parental work schedule disruption. Parents drove all over the place in their huge SUVs using even more gas and many parents had to take off of work because they did not have day care.

Oh yeah, right before Katrina, he declared an "energy emergency" and caused a massive one day gas panic which resulted in statewide price gouging (can you say $6 per gallon?)

:grr: He is a supreme idiot.

CB, pissed off GA Democrat

...ol' sonny-boy closed schools so farmers would have enough diesel to harvest crops...

this after a meeting with big agri-business lobbyists.

sonny doesn't fall too far from the corrupt dubya tree.

3. I don't know about oil interests -- but---
I do know that he is a licensed Veterinarian, and an astute politician.
He was on the PSC(public service commission) and pushed for(and got) deregulation of natural gas in Ga.Caused gas prices to soar.
Recently closed schools for 2 days to "conserve fuel".Turns out he was conserving fuel so the large South Ga. farms would have Diesel to harvest crops.
Pretty much the typical political whore.
My rant.My .02 worth

12. I don't know if he's licensed but I do know he's never practiced Vet Med.
How do I know this? One of my best friends is a retired Vet School professor who taught Sonny Boy at UGA. What's more, my friend recently spoke with Perdue (about water quality and stream habitat preservation) at a citizens "listening session" in our community. Did you know that our recently resigned FDA commissioner, Lester Crawford, was a Repub. UGA vet school PhD (pharmacology) grad? He was a poor student and is a political hack and a Republican shill. Both men sully the reputation of UGA, IMHO.

I met Perdue when he was running for governor. He asked for my vote and I told him that I vote Democratic, Green and Independent but that I never vote Republican. He said he was really more of a populist. Yeah, right. I said "good luck with the campaign." See ya. I detest Perdue. What a dimwit.

14. People are working on the paper-ballot thing in GA
I think Cathy Cox is very electable.

And much preferable to Purdue.

Or Mark Taylor, her democratic opponent...for that matter.

15. I've met Taylor as well and had a long talk with him.
I don't know who to support. All I know is that Ralph Reed should NEVER EVER be elected to a state office. He's running for Lt. Gov.
