Yikes! Repukes bugging Philly's Dem Mayor's Headquarters!
"Is the Republican Party pulling every stop for 2004?...Yes! Is the Republican Party capable of DIRTY TRICKS! I think that is WELL documented."

Sounds like BushCo is taking us right back to the days of Watergate - only this time with a lap-dog press!

1. I almost certainly wasn't Republicans
Although I'm sure Street wants people to think that.

It was an extremely sophisticated device, the kind
that gets put in by court order. It's probably the Feds.

Street might be under investigation. The FBI rep wouldn't
comment on that.

...or with political intentions had better get a pro to sweep his office and his home.

And better stop using cell phones, too.

4. It could be the Pennsylvania AG or the local DA
The FBI commented that the bugging was not campaign related. How would they know, unless it was them or some other law enforcement agency?

6. Street already under a cloud
Edited on Wed Oct-08-03 03:04 PM by JasonBerry
There are already various people looking into why a firm his brother is involved with got a 13 million dollar contract. Let's not drown ourselves in hypocrisy! If we are pissed at Cheney and Halliburton (and rightfully so!) we should be just as pissed at municipal corruption. Just because Street has a (D) by his name doesn't mean he's not immune from scrutiny - and legal investigation.

7. Remember CT's Giordano?
If it turns out to be a similar scenario, be ready to counter 'Puke claims with 'where were you when Phil was banging 12 year olds?'
