PIX: Harriet Miers presides over a meeting of the Texas Lottery Commission
Edited on Mon Oct-03-05 12:18 PM by Stephanie

Harriet Miers presides over a meeting of the Texas Lottery Commission in this photo from Jan. 7, 1997, in Austin, Texas. President Bush nominated Miers, his White House counsel, to the Supreme Court on Monday, Sept. 3, 2005. In doing so, he turns to a lawyer who has never been a judge to replace Sandra Day O'Connor. 5. Poor dear needs a stylist. I like her clothes, though.
I don't know enough about her to comment on her professional credentials.

8. Why is it that when Republican women come up the first criticism is about
their style? That really isn't important. What's important is that they tend to be a bunch of loony-tunes with heavy fascist tendancies.

9. You know, when we are looking at PICTURES
it is only natural to comment on what we are seeing. There are dozens of threads here examining her background and policies.

20. Like I said, I don't know much yet about what sh'e's really like.
I think Dumbya selected her because there isn't much out there. I'm just now getting good info from what has been posted on DU.

I think there are some things that are mildly important about appearance. I think sometimes it reveals alot about how a person might feel about himself or herself, and that might influence how they feel about others.

Geez.

We know what's important. We can comment on the trivial, too.

11. 20-year old hair on a 90 year old face. Yikeola!
I don't normally make comments on appearances.

However, for a Bush nominee, I'll make an exception.

We used to call that "Trans Am hair" back in the 1970's. :)

13. That was "20 year old hair" about 20 years ago....
Her features are OK; it's bad to criticize someone who is "plain." But her style is her own choice.

Perhaps that's an old picture. Big Hair has gone out of style even down here.
