FEMANAZIS
stolen from rush limbaugh's 'feminazis'.

FEMA is really useless, as is the department of homeland fuckups.
wherever there is aid for the starving, FEMANAZIS will stop it at the water's edge. wherever people are homeless, FEMANAZIS will ship them off to be absorbed and recyled. whenever disaster strikes, FEMANAZIS will be at the ready to hinder, clog, restrain, confuse, and dillute real aid, and replace it with photo ops and fast talk.

fuck FEMA, we obviously don't need it.

2. this is the line that the republicans will be pushing--
"fuck fema, get rid of it, it didn't work! all gvmt sucks! get rid of it."

we need to point out that it is not intrinsically the fault of the agency it's the fault of the guy who put three political appointees in the top jobs there. poor leadership, poor management -- the bush admin has damaged what was an effective department under Clinton.

When you blame fema you are falling into the R trap. Instead, blame the admin that fucked up fema.

4. We obviously do need it
Put the blame where it belongs...bush and cohorts for ruining it. It should be independent and a cabinet level position with competent people running it.

And on a personal note...I despise the term 'feminazis' and 'femanazis' is no different and I do understand your point of using it.

5. We don't need to get rid of FEMA, we need the one we had 5yrs ago...
Unfortunatly, mopaul, it seems the name was't the only cootie you picked up from the Republican National Ward Captain...

We need a FEMA that does its job, like it did under Clinton, who staffed it with professionals. What failed was an underfunded (and those mis-allocated), directionless patronage mill, which is what FEMA had been turned into under *.

6. FEMA is a car whose owner never changed it's oil.
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 07:28 AM by Ready4Change
One day, the engine blows up. "This is a goddamn crappy car!" screams the cars Owner.

Mechanic: "When was the last time you changed the oil?"

Owner: "Change the oil? Screw that! I paid good money for this car 5 years ago. Damn thing cost an arm and a leg. They said it'd run for ever..."

Mechanic: "That's only if you change the oil..."

Owner: "Damn thing just blew up on me. Blew up! What a piece of crap car..."

This Bush administration stripped FEMA of funds, and handed it's authority over to Homeland Security, which has huge problems of its own. FEMA was lucky to be able to show up at this party at all, much less do anything useful.

Bush Administration: "What a piece of crap organization..."

7. FEMA
Worked just fine last year in Florida when it was hit by killer hurricanes just before the election. FEMA is not the problem but then if you haven't figured out what the problem is then perhaps you don't have enough life experience to recall life before Bush Jr. in the US.
