13. Thanks -- so am I!
Except for my husband and kids, all my "friends" and family are die-hard Bush supporters. I was starting to think I had lost my mind. It's nice to know there are so many others who see things the way they are.
:hi:

4. He also said we needed to take a "sober look"...
Interesting choice of words, given his sobering past.

10. That was hilarious!
You could almost see that he realized he'd chosen the wrong word after he said that.

11. Referring to right after the hurricane went through ...
BEFORE the flooding really started. I remember watching (CNN, I think) and everyone was relieved that there wasn't as much flooding as they had predicted, not as much damage to NO, etc. But what he said was pretty stupid -- something like, "They told me we had dodged the bullet. The bullet HAS BEEN DODGED!"

16. Yea, but
I remember the days of LBJ when there were only 3 TV news channels and he had 3 sets in the oval office, each tuned to a different channel. As much as I dislike that man, I gotta give him credit for at least keeping up on the news.

But I digress;

The point is that Bush is saying that he heard "from you folks" (news media) that the bullet had been dodged. Yet ALL and I mean ALL the news media were reporting the levee breaks by MONDAY NIGHT. And some had been reporting the breaks and flooding since late morning of that day.

So Bush, if as he claims, got the "dodged" thing from the news media, he MUST have also heard of the levee breaks.

8. The "bullet" is the bulk of questions this administration never
has to answer for.... Katrina is no different.

Would you like a list?
