A new book says Rupert Murdoch needs his children to keep delivering bias
Interesting tale of the Murdoch dynasty from the Sydney Morning Herald:

http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/10/03/1064988401574.html

Choice quote:

In The Murdoch Archipelago, published by Simon and Schuster, Page argues that Murdoch has built a media business model unlike any others; one where his newspapers and television stations have been placed at the disposal of politicians in return for favours that have advanced his commercial interests.

A damning form of corruption made into the centerpiece of the empire running Fox and other media. "Propaganda for hire" - who would have thought that outsourcing the ministry of truth would be so profitable?

1. Murdoch may be sucking up to the Russian oligarchs too
There was a story frontpage in the paper Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago.

One of the big stories over here is the buying up of Chelsea football club by a Russian billionaire, Abmrovich (sp?).

Abmrovich's ex-boss is wanted for fraud in Russia, but he is currently getting political asylum in britain where he lives.

The Sunday Times article detailed how Russia's replacement for the KGB tried to poison Abmrovich's ex-boss.

But the thing that stood out for me was the fact that Abmrovich's name did not come up once in the article, i had to do an internet check.

(I should have posted the article at the time sorry)

4. Boris Berezovsky
is the guy's name. He apparently took out advertisements in the major papers in the u.s. criticizing Putin, when Putin visted the u.s. just recently.

I does appear that Boris Berezovsky and Roman Abramovich have fallen out and no longer talk to each other according to one article I read on the internet a while ago, but Abramovich buys Chelsea and then a few weeks later Berezovsky gets political asylum in britain, does seem a trifle coincidental.
