Okay okay I am calming down but here's the thing. I am on ssdi social security disability for young onset parkinsons. There are days that my legs are litterally to stiff to walk, I can't hold anything in my hand or go to the rest room by myself. And I cant work - let me rephrase that - no one wants to hire me.
I have applied at several employement agencies and factorys for employement but I have allways been turned downed with the same story. Your too undependable. So my only hope is too go on disability and not for the money for the but for the insurance to pay for my drugs and doctors which eats a good two thirds of the check. I didn't want too but I literally had no other choice.
And get this everyday I still get crap from that decision. Even from some members of my own family? Now am sick to death of being called a ward of the state or a charity case. I am sorry am just really angry and tired of all this money for nothing and kicks for free nonsense.
Find me an employer an Il that'll take me on full time and understand that my disability prevents me from using control of my hands than Ill gladly take it. I am sorry for the rant but repugs are getting under my skin tonight.
Thank god I have a place like DU and friends like you guys too vent too.

514 a month plus perscription benefits and some doctor benefits if I chose thier doctors. My sister Selene constantly says I am milking the system.

4. Yes, there is an entire litany of words used to diminish you and every

other person who needs assistance in staying afloat. Funny thing is..most Americans find themselves needing to avail themselves of some form of assistance be it state disability, unemployment, social security or medicare at some point in their lives.

I have worked all my life until 2 years ago when I had neck surgury that has left me in chronic pain 24 hrs a day.Hell yes I would love to go back to work but my hands and arms quit working bacause of my neck and I know some of what you are feeling.I dont have Parkinsons,but I used to work for a dr that had it and I love that man so much.He still works altho he is past retirement age and sometimes he shakes so bad it breaks my heart.He also falls asleep at his desk but its okay.We all take care of him and as long as he can continue to do what he loves doing we will support him.
Screw what anyone thinks about your disability check,This goverment pisses away money for pork to all their friends so why shouldnt it take care of those who need it.

The same people that attack those handouts and the 'Welfare Queens' are the same jerks that bettered their life with all those entitlement programs and handouts like the GI Bill of Rights that sent them to school.
