Should people going through divorce be denied...
..the right to purchase guns? As we all know it is a very traumatic time for some people and we all have heard stories about men (usually) killing there wives at that time. It would save lives right?

1. What an unusual question...
Are you going thru a divorce (not trying to be nosy, just asking)...

2. No, I'm not...

3. I work at the Family Court
We are talking MAJOR PARANOIA about divorced men with a right to bear arms coming in there.

I'm not sure about taking away their guns period, though -- interesting idea, one I'll give some thought to.

5. when my ex broke up our home years ago,
I thought it was a very good idea that the guns were removed from the house.

Divorce is a temporary state of insanity. It is.

6. Interesting question
It might do some good, but it doesn't address situations where the couple already own guns.

Would be very difficult to enforce.

It would probably eventually get tossed as unconstitutional.

I don't think I'll join you in vocalizing support for this idea, based on my two objections above.
