I'm not implying anything... I'm simply asking... by the way, does anyone have any links discussing this issue.

Like I said, I'm just curious...

Peace,

2. Article: Graham calls for hearings on oil companies’ profits
"The Associated Press reported in July that two of the world’s largest oil companies, Exxon Mobil and Royal Dutch Shell, saw second-quarter profits rise by about a third — $7 billion and $5 billion, respectively."

3. It's the only industry I know of that makes record profits when raw
materials increase in price and production can't compensate!

Or so they claim! They've been crying for years about not having enough refining capacity, but they're not saying anything aobut that now, huh?

6. 2 anecdotes
My cousin worked for Chevron-Texaco 2 years ago - they made 7 billion.

Friend at Unocal just got $15,000 bonus (he's not an executive)

7. Beware of Paper Clips! I saw Roscoe Bartlet on Cspan2
Those Poor old boy down in Texas. They have learned an Important lesson from Katrina. They need a new oil infrastructure. I wouldn't put it past it them to try to attach something to disaster relief. Maybe apply for a grant. Possibly even go for the handshake. That would be par for the Bush Chaney course. A huricane wipes out La. Miss. and Ala. So of course Bush & Cheney will rebuild Texas and Florida.
