I work at home and I usually have the television on or am streaming some station off the net. Yesterday my husband and I were watching the Katrina coverage and we heard people interviewed who talked about losing their loved ones, their homes, basically their whole life. I looked at my husband and I said, the sad part is that there are so many in Iraq (both American troops and Iraqi citizens) who can say the same thing. This administration has found new ways to create havoc where it isn't necessary. They've ignorned warning after warning of real dangers and have pursued their own course.

I know it's sick but I was almost waiting for Bush to say at his press conference that those who died as a result of Katrina did so as part of his "noble cause" b/c we know that "noble cause" is code for rapture talk.

I saw them sitting in that awful water today on CNN. I know it will be hard for the inmates and the guards and it s a volatile situation. I have sympathy for everyone in this disaster. Except the asshole in chief. I can't imagine why you would think otherwise.
