Thought I might entertain the idea and maybe someone else will get the idea to run themselves. Even if all I can do is see how the system works and run as myself.

3. Ok, I will be 25 by November 2006, but I turn 25 in September.
Does that mean I can't run in that year?

17. From Article I Section 2
"Clause 2: No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen."

So, it seems that as long as you reach age 25 by January 3, 2007, your constitutionally okay.

7. That's not the hard part -
You also have to be a millionaire. And have good hair. At least one or the other, if not both. Plus, isn't it something like 96% of incumbents get re-elected?

15. I'm running.
Here in Colorado in the 7th Congressional District for 2006.

You can have an impact in all kinds of different ways ... it is not always important to win. Sometimes it is important to get involved, participate in the discussion, and fight the good fight to save our nation.

Good Luck!

On Edit: Do you have any advice for a youngin' who doesn't have money or connections? I figure if I start now, maybe after working on it for a few years, I will know how our system works a little better.
