Christopher Walken
Edited on Tue Aug-16-05 10:36 PM by raysr
for President? Why not? http://www.walkenforpres.com/
"Our great country is in a terrible downward spiral. We're outsourcing jobs, bankrupting social security, and losing lives at war. We need to focus on what's important-- paying attention to our children, our citizens, our future. We need to think about improving our failing educational system, making better use of our resources, and helping to promote a stable, safe, and tolerant global society. It's time to be smart about our politics. It's time to get America back on track."

12. I wasn't talking about Bush.
I thought Dems wanted to win. Or are we just trying to see if we can piss off the RWer for a few minutes??

16. In the movies
Like John Wayne. :eyes:

What about Dennis Hopper? Wouldn't he be a better choice, based on weirdness and apparent insanity? ... "baby wants to f... Iran! PASS THE NITROUS DAMMIT!" Either actor as prez is sure to make Kim Jong Il jealous! :D

18. So he's weird.
He's a better actor than Reagan and undoubtedly smarter than Ah-nuld. I'd love to hear what he has to say. And yeah, if he pisses off the RWers I'm all for that, too.

Chris Walken mopping up the floor with Jebbie in a debate. My heart's all aflutter just thinking about it, even though I'm not at all certain that this website isn't just a joke to see just how far people will go to try to get away from the BFEE.

15. I love Ron
I don't know if he's interested in that though. He and Rachael Maddow should have their own show on MSNBC. I want one liberal show! AH!

19. I'd vote for Ron in a minute, but I don't think he's interested.
He's awesome. What happened to him doing the Eukanuba Dog Shows? Did he lose that gig because of his outspokenness against *?

(Sorry I'm showing my ignorance here . . . I pretty much only watch Animal Planet and The Daily Show, so if it isn't there or on DU I don't know about it.)

Hated him but love Ron Jr.

22. Hmm. I wouldn't really call him an actor, even if he was SAG prez.
I never thought of him as Ron, either, for some reason. Only Ronnie or Raygun.

Too bad the Christopher Walken campaign has been debunked. It really would be fun to watch.

24. Duh. I've seen King's Row and Bedtime for Bonzo.

I meant he was a LOUSY actor. My HS Thespian Club did much better.

On edit: Guess I need to learn to use the :sarcasm: icon. Thought my meaning was obvious but apparently not. Would I know he was president of the Screen Actors Guild if I didn't know he was an actor?

25. Oh...I see.
Yes, he certainly was a lousy actor, so in that sense he wasn't an actor at all.

Sorry, thought you might have been really young or something and didn't know about his so-called career.

4. So why can't the DNC do that?
One paragraph, no big words, no marketing spin or focus group adjustments, just a commitment to the greater good.

It's early days yet, but unless some Democratic steps up to the plate with a better speech, Walken has my vote.
