1. Comparing Iraq with the Holocaust!
We didn't know that Iraq was torturing people?
Failure of intelligence. Using Roosevelt and the Holocaust

8. Aaaarrgggh!
That is NOT what the poll asked (assuming I'm talking about the same poll). The poll asked "will you be better off in five years?" Not the same freaking thing at all.

9. Colin Powell convinced Haitian government to leave.
But he is trying to equate situations where lies were not told with this situation with SITUATIONS WHERE LIES WERE NOT TOLD.

13. He's a good spinmeister
First he talked about terrorism, implicated a religion with no central leadership, and then led into Iraq without making a connection to the previous two points. He then spins our "reasons" for going into Iraq and says they don't matter any more because we found out Hussein was a tyrant (like we didn't know that when we supported him in the '80s).

The word for this is:
Enthymeme \En"thy*meme\, n. consider; ? in + ? mind, soul.] (Logic)

"An enthymeme is a partial syllogism. It is based on the probable rather than positive premises and is based on implicit conjectures that are shared by the speaker and the audience. The speaker gives the primary premise and assumes that the audience will supply the missing knowledge in order to reach the conclusion.

"Everything that lives, moves (primary premise)
No mountain lives (conclusion)

"In this case, the audience supplies the knowledge that mountains do not move."
