want to see the president’s Iraq policy fail."

You good for nothin' liberals. Bastards.

Just to be clear: say what you like, Mr. Hackett. Just beat the repug and help us to take back the congress. Seriously. Call us all commies. Just take back the congress. We'll take our rhetorical beatings if it means a REAL win--and if you vote with Pelosi et al (pssssst, she's a liberal).

4. Saying things like that is probably the only chance he has to win
Well, maybe not. But I could see him wanting to distance himself from the anti-war left seeing as how he's in the military and all.

I haven't been keeping up on the serious stuff lately. Who is Hackett's opponent and what chance do you think Hackett has?

5. This Rubber Stamp...

I'm tied up in knots about it. I'm as excited about this race as I was Kerry v. Bush. Seriously... and why? Because I believe that winning this race could propel Democrats to other victories in the future. Having an Iraq war vet (who is fiercly anti-war) in Congress is a helluva springboard toward future sucesses IMO.

8. very little: it's cerise on the House map; running rightwards actually
probably hurts his chances. He can be as hawkish as he can be, he'll still be called "unpatriotic": if you're going to be hanged for a "crime," might as well go out and do it, I guess

6. We KNEW it would fail.
Wanting it to fail is immaterial. It will fail because it was stupid.
