Give Karl Rove a Break
Don't you, deep down, feel sorry for Karl Rove? Sure, he outed Valerie Plame to get back at Joe Wilson. We know that. But did he really mean to do it? Don't you think he would take it back if he could. And yes, he has pulled some shennanigans in the past. He fudged some numbers on some elections, but don't boys just want to be boys? What is the big deal? There are worse things than lying about why you go to war. Sure, maybe I can't think of one right now, but does that mean they don't exist. And yes, he wants to get rid of social security just for the sake of getting rid of it, but can you fault a man for trying to manifest his destiny?

I mean, come on. Was child labor all that bad? Shouldn't there be a protected elite that the rest of us work to keep rich? Are you willing to cast the first stone at Karl Rove? After all, he's just doing what he's supposed to do. Live and let live, I always say.:smoke:

11. That would take hours of peeling back layers of flab...
...and frankly, I doubt if any of us has the stomach for it.

4. I don't know
I mean there's two kinds of breaks - should we give him a political break? Never - he works to oppose a decent America, and as such he must be stopped!

On the legal matter - well that's up for a judge to decide if he's actually broken the law - but it certainly looks that way from where I sit.

8. I MIGHT feel sorry for him if I thought
he would be spending many years cleaning the prison toilets and getting raped by men who don't vote, but I suspect that even if this plays out justly he will get pardoned before he sets foot inside any barbed wire. I mean, if Poindexter and North can get away with what they did, he will too.

He'll be on the radio, writing books, and on the "tour" speaking to rabid groups to whom our secular laws have no moral significance for their own.

I just hope he gets fined about a billion dollars so that (in essence)I get a piece of any money he ever makes again.

12. Rather than a "break," can he have a colonoscopy instead?
failing that, a cystoscopy with a rusty cystoscope would do...
