Memo paragraph on Plame was marked secret!!!!!
Edited on Wed Jul-20-05 10:38 PM by shraby
Washington Post will soon have this: (not on their Web site yet)

WASHINGTON--A classified State Department memorandum central to a federal leak investigation contained information about CIA officer Valerie Plame in a paragraph marked ''(S)'' for secret, a clear indication that any Bush administration official who read it should have been aware the information was classified, according to current and former government officials.

Plame--who is referred to by her married name, Valerie Wilson, in the memo--is mentioned in the second paragraph of the three-page document, which was written on June 10, 2003, by an analyst in the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR), according to a source who described the memo to The Washington Post.

No one seeing that memo can claim they didnt know Plame's role was secret

1. Game. Set. Match!

That is a smoking gun of magnum sized repercussions and proportions. Now it goes from "accidental" to malicious intent. And provable intentions under the law count for a lot...

on edit: :wow:

3. memo
the real question is..........whether Rove or Libby saw that memo. If they did, it could prove a LOT!

I heard Fitzgerald is researching that memo and how it was circulated. I also heard he's trying to get the phone records from Air Force One at the time of the Africa trip. They already know that Powell had the memo on that trip.

4. "Knowingly" is no longer an issue!
I believe that was the last requirement since we also know she was covert.

Game, set, match, crime.

The "most insidious of traitors."

9. There had to have been some kind of conspiracy
Some people read the memo, put their heads together, developed talking points using the classified information, and then designated hitters started calling the reporters.

This is all too contrived to have been restricted to Rove and Libby.
Rove was "Bush's Brain" and Libby was Cheney's Chief of Staff. Both were on the White House Iraq Group.

Shit. Cheney knew. Bush did too.
