Coleman Springs to Roves Defence
GOP strategist had key role in Senate bid

BY CHARLES HOMANS

Washington Correspondent

WASHINGTON — Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman called a news conference on Thursday to defend Karl Rove, the White House deputy chief of staff engulfed in the CIA leak controversy who also played a key role in Coleman's bid for the Senate seat.

"I would urge my colleagues on the other side of the aisle to cool their rhetoric and focus on the business of the people," the Republican said.

7. Funny you said Hunt....
I am doing some research on my grandfather, who used to be a prominent American Indian leader, for some stuff that I am writing. So I came across this article in a paper from 3 years ago that said Howard Hunt was my grandfather's brother in law. We are in no way related to that guy! I was floored. Evidently, my relative is a famous burglar. :)

2. Norm Coleman is the punkiest punk ass in the Senate.
He is beneath contempt, really.

A good way to get other Senators back to the business of the people, is to hold a news conference about a major story in the press.

Good going, asshat!

5. he is as craven a politician as ever disgraced our Capitol...

....and to think he sits now in the place of a great American, Sen. Paul Wellstone......of all the outrages of the past few years, that is certainly among the greatest...

17. that's something that makes my blood boil
Norm Coleman could say something I totally agreed with and I still can't get the image out of my head that this disgrace is sitting where the great Paul Wellstone once did.

8. Norm thinks he's an improvement over Paul Wellstone....
When he said that, I never have listened to a word the guy has said since.

He couldn't have even shined Wellstone's shoes for him. Not in the same class, not even in the same league.

15. that '99 percent improvement' comment was revealing...
...Coleman is haunted by Wellstone, long after his death. He KNOWS he could not have won a head-to-head race with Paul. He is a poseur, a fake senator, king of flip-flops and one with no core values at all except to further his own misbegotten career. It will catch up.

13. Norm is such a dick.
He is accumulating some really heinous karma just on account of occupying Wellstone's senate seat. He crawls on his belly for Rove, to whom he owes his political career. The greatest act of patriotism we Minnesotans can commit would be to unseat that scumbag when his term is up in '08. I really loathe that prick.

16. Always wondered if it was Rove that had Paul Wellstone murdered.
Rove knew that there was no way anyone would ever beat Wellstone, and he wanted very badly to remove him from the Senate.

Anyway, Normie the Weasel was handpicked by Rove to take Paul Wellstone's Senate seat, and Normie owes Karl his soul big time.

19. This reminds me that this craven opportunist is up for re-election in 2008
Here's hoping that Al Franken does decide for the Senate seat held by the dishonorable Norm Coleman. And if I could, I'd move to Minnesota during the race to do everything I could to see Franken elected. God, I hate that vile Coleman.

old Normie will not rest, will not waver, will not quit until he gets to the bottom of the whole issue :eyes:
