I just called Rep. Peter King's office and his staffer was RUDE RUDE RUDE
He was sarcastic and rude when I asked him for a specific list of the so-called "lies" in Wilson's report which King has been blabbing about for two days.

Then he called ME a LIAR when I asked why Rep. King said that journalists should be shot. He denied that King ever said that and called me a liar.

Will you call his office and complain and tell him that he is the real liar?

1. I guess the phone has been a bit busy.
Kind of sad when they deny on the record remarks. Pitiful, even.

4. Ask if Mr. King is prepared to testify to Fitzgerald how he knows Wilson
lied? I'm sure Fitzgerald would take his testimony UNDER OATH.

Rep. King Says Russert and Others in Media Should 'Be Shot,' Not Karl Rove

By E&P Staff

NEW YORK From the transcript of an interview on Tuesday night on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country," between host Joe Scarborough and Congressman Peter King, a Republican from New York, on the Plame case and the possible leak of the CIA agent's name by White House aide Karl Rove.

***
SCARBOROUGH: The last thing you want to do at a time of war is reveal the identity of undercover CIA agents.

KING: No. Joe Wilson, she recommended—his wife recommended him for this. He said the vice president recommended him. To me, she took it off the table. Once she allowed him to go ahead and say that, write his op-ed in “The New York Times,” to have Tim Russert give him a full hour on “Meet the Press,” saying that he was sent there as a representative of the vice president, when she knew, she knew herself that she was the one that recommended him for it, she allowed that lie to go forward involving the vice president of the United States, the president of the United States, then to me she should be the last one in the world who has any right to complain.

And Joe Wilson has no right to complain. And I think people like Tim Russert and the others, who gave this guy such a free ride and all the media, they're the ones to be shot, not Karl Rove.

7. Like I've said previously, I think King has gone mental. . .
and it's not the first time he's copped an attitude toward his constituents and his critics.

8. I just called..

...got a female staff person. I said I was confused because I saw King on TV saying that people in the press like Tim Russert should be "shot." I asked the staff person if King really meant that.

She replied taht King did not literally mean that anyone should be shot.

I replied something like, "oh well, that's good. Maybe he shouldn't say things like that because these are strange times and it's hard to tell when people are not advocating violence when they say things like that on TV.

Then I asked for my message to be passed on to him.

Nothing confrontational, but it was fun.
