...B. The highest elevation point in Kansas is Mount Sunflower, at 4,039 feet above sea level. The Kansas plains slope upward as you travel west, rising to meet the Rockies in Colorado. Mount Sunflower, which really only merits its 'highest point' status by being in the western part of Kansas, is in Wallace County.

...C. the deepest hand-dug well in the continental U.S. some 109 feet deep and 32 feet in diameter...which is where the saying was coined: "Colder than a well-diggers ass!"

3. Have you ever seen that hand-dug well?
It's actually pretty impressive to see a well that was dug by hand that is ten stories deep. We also have Big Brutus,the second largest electric shovel in the world!
