3. Good for him! I'm beginning to think that he feels buyer's remorse...
...for helping to select Herr Busch back in December 2000.

7. that's a ripe topic for a book
conservatives who took bush the first time around & whether they got buysers remorse.

I have to believe that most 'good' conservatives would feel that way.

12. I *barely* voted for him in 2000, I'm ashamed to admit.
But I campaigned AGAINST him in 2004, as best I could. And I did, of course, vote against him.

15. Forgive me. I knew not what I did.
I was confused by all the reports of Gore's fabrications and my family's incessant right-wing spin of the Clinton admin. I'm still no Clinton fan, but for different reasons. Still, I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Back then, I didn't have to worry about the economy, a stupid war, terrorism....sigh.

21. I can understand your confusion re: Gore. I remember yelling at
him when he was on TV because sometimes he would just across as an arrogant ass who thought there was no way he could lose. And that kiss with Tipper. I kept yelling "No, you fool. Take her face in your hands and kiss her gently, romantically, not like an animal." ha However, I did vote for him. You're forgiven though because at least you've seen the light since then.

4. Bush DOES NOT want to appoint two at the same time
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 08:01 PM by xray s
He's pissed off enough that O'Connor went first.

I'll be looking forward to the "Weekend at Billy's" scheme that hatch when Rehnquist kicks.

9. Maybe it has something to do with
O'Conner being ask to reconsider and seek his spot?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050714/ap_on_go_su_co/scotus_senate
"We urge you to reconsider your resignation and return to the Supreme Court to serve as chief justice, should there be a vacancy," the senators said in the Thursday letter.

18. He Wants To Go Out With His Stars & Bars On...
I'm certain he wants to go out in the saddle...get the Raygun treatment and elevated so Repugnican sainthood.

Actually, I'll bet he's been getting stop and go signals from this regime almost every day the past couple weeks and now it's on stop cause they can't even find ONE consensus candidate in their own hive, yet have to deal with two.

Getting one nomination through the Senate is gonna take months...and it won't be because of the Democrats.

20. I am happy that bush doesn't get to appoint two judges
And while I 100 percent disagree with the rehnquist philosphy I do wish him good health. I never want to see anyone suffer no matter how much I disagree with them.
