There is a very touching tribute to Andy on TBTM
Symbol-man, of Take back the media has a very touching tribute to Andy front and center on their fine web site.

It's a must see, and it brought tears to my eyes.

Here's a link.
But, you should already have it bookmarked

1. I still don't know who Andy Stephenson was or what he did...
why was he so important? I never even heard about him until he got sick and came to DU asking for money.

10. Huh?! I can't believe that no one else answered you.
Andy Stephenson, formerly known as God_bush_n_cheney, was a long-time DU member, since 2002, who did not come to DU "asking for money." The man got sick, had no insurance, and his friends offered to help him out. The story became complicated, but that's the short version. I have considered him a friend since joining DU in early 2003.

As for what he did, he ran for Washington Secretary of State and fought election fraud on a national level. He was a courageous man and passionately dedicated to this cause. And, because I have known him since joining DU, I can tell you that he was also funny and extremely kind. Those are the reasons he was so beloved on DU.

Here are a couple of links, if you'd like to learn more about him.

5. I didn't know Andy
But, he seemed like a friendly, funny and genuine guy.

Screw SHRUB.

I would have loved to have had a beer and a few laughs with Andy.

You would have to point a gun at me, to have a beer with the murder monkey.

6. It was really nice, but he needs to slow down at bit
at the end. I couldn't read the bottom words fast enough before the screen changed. Was that just me?

7. Hey Zalinda!
I'm from Upstate New York too...
I went to school in Binghamton and kind of grew up (later years) on the mountain top near Catskill, New York.

Hunter Mountain, to be exact.

I can't resist saying hello to someone from Upstate New York.

It's so beautiful!

8. Hi, back at you
I am a Syracuse transplant. I moved here about 20 years ago, grew up in Detroit. It's really nice here, I just want to move a little further out. I don't enjoy city life.
