IS it just me, or does anyone else think that Bushco wants Osama alive
to give a personification to the "terror" and "evil" that they are trying to use to keep American (morans) in the "loop?"

I mean, really, if he were dead or captured, that would spell victory to a lot of the SMF's and it would be harder to sell going into any other countries.

Just a thought.

17. Ever see this .......
THE world may be better off if Osama Bin Laden remains at large, according to the Central Intelligence Agency’s recently departed executive director. -snip-

In an odd explanation it may be 'counter productive' this guy goes on to say if Osoma was captured or killed ....... yeaaaaa right .... rest of article here ... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2089-1431539,00.html

Peace.

18. I'm even more cynical...
I believe that they need him or a real good replacement to keep up a personification game. I personally feel that they could give a rat's ass about anything other than the bottom line.

5. Like Saddam?
They're scared shitless of what might come out in an open trial.

4. Osama is our Emmanuel Goldstein.
They don't care if he's actually alive, just as long as it's not sure whether or not he's dead...

8. If he's captured/killed, and then things don't get better,
Edited on Thu Jun-30-05 09:06 PM by ithinkmyliverhurts
then someone's rhetoric has just lost 99% of its efficiency. That's the problem with the bogey-man: you're not supposed to kill him. Everything's supposed to get better once the bogey-man is dead. Every horror film concludes with the re-emergence of the bogey-man, usually in an oblique way. We then get the sequel. Maybe Iran is our sequel. Does that make Saddam the prequel? Ugh.

Edited for clarityificationability.

10. He is necessary
for the continuation of the war on terra. He could give himself up and the bushco. would deny it was him. This war on terra has to keep on going. That's the plan. That's the way to world dom. I assume most here know that already. Although some here would debate, many many very erudite folks around the country also are pretty certain that the US helped him with 9/11. You see, they needed the new pearl harbor to further their aims. Thus, ipso facto, presto magico..... 9/11.

11. Honestly, its military common sense
It is better to discover and bug him, than to apprehend him. IN that
way, all his operations can be foiled, and he will be ineffective.
To capture him will simply have unknowns replacing him, and the risk
of not knowing what will happen is much higher.

12. 'War On Terror' is just like the Cold War Part II
Never ending, and the military industrial complex makes trillions off of average Americans over the years. Communist has been replaced by terrorist, so you better be afraid of the new Boogy Man.:hide:

Oh, and the oil companies get a bigger take this time.

Bush doesn't care about Bin Laden, but he is very thankful that Bin Laden gave him a warped excuse to have a war with Saddam.

15. I reckon
Bin Laden died of natural causes about two years ago. It serves both sides well to keep the idea of him alive but Zarqawi is being pumped up to take his place.

20. Remember that the Saudies have invested billions in this country.
I do not discount the possibility that he's currently being protected by the Saudi family. Bush will not move on him unless the Saudies give him the ok.
