What is the threshold of poll deficit that Repubs would be afraid to

"overcome" with the Diebold mechanism? Where they would actually fear the appearance of the torch wielding mobs if they did it?

10 percent? 20 percent? No threshold, they'd even put Alan Keyes over Obama in office?

Would they play this differently in state races as opposed to president?

1. As soon as most polls show Chimpy's approval

ratings below 40% you will see Republicans at all levels running for the hills. I doubt they will get this low unless there is serious talk of a "draft".

3. I hate to tell your this, but...

These people have NO intention of giving up power,
not matter HOW far their poll numbers slip.
They counted on it happening and prepared
appropriately.
Touch screen voting, contol of network media,
the ability to detain ordinary citizens without charges
or legal access to the judicial system and I firmly
believe that they will unleash their globo-cops on
a significant number of people who organize any meaningful
resistance to their agenda.
In other words, I don't think they give a damn what the polls say.
