If you know that a Congressional delegation will visit, won't you prepare
for it? Of course you will. That's why this bullcrap about Congressionals visiting GITMO is a waste of time and money. What do you think they will find? Even Jim Jones prepared his sheeple for a Congressional visit and all went well until one tried to leave with the delegation.

You are going find the prisoners "living in the tropics and getting whatever they want." I just hope some of the prisoners will not be drugged to the point of being so docile and compliant that the visitors will be fooled.

2. Yep, I was thinking the same thing
All the torturers will be on their best behavior while the Congressional delegation is there. And the minute they are out the door, it's back to stress positions and mock burials and the whole nine!

They should have made an surprise visit...show up unannounced.

3. They could put those guys up in the fanciest hotel in Havana
and it would still be PRISON, they would still be UNCHARGED, and it wouls still be WRONG.

Prison is anyplace you don't want to be but are kept against your will.

4. Just wait for the spin that GITMO is a model prison.
And that the "liberals" are at it again complaining to give our enemies aid and comfort.

5.  a brief history lesson
http://www.deathcamps.org/reinhard/terezin.html

At the end of 1943 the Nazis allowed an International Red Cross investigation committee to visit Terezin in 1944, in order to show the world that the Nazis did no harm to the Jews. In preparation for this visit the Nazis deported more prisoners to Auschwitz so as to reduce the population. A number of changes were made, such as dummy stores, a café, kindergardens, a school and flower gardens.
The Red Cross visited Terezin on 23 July 1944 and the Nazis made a propaganda film, "The Führer gives the Jews a town". After filming most of the cast, all the members of the internal leadership, and nearly all the children were deported to Auschwitz.

Just saying, it could be done.
