Seven days until a hundred twenty or so new Abu Ghraib photos get released.

United States troops beating, torturing, raping, and murdering innocent human beings.

The administration is backed into a corner. They're required by law to release the photos. Some are worried they're going to break the law and not release the photos.

That's fine. Then we get the photos released and we get a contempt of court contraversy. That plays into our hands.

We know what they're going to do. They're going to distract and apologize. Distract and apologize. We know what they're tactics are going to be: it's just a frat prank, it's old news, it's a few bad apples. We've heard it all before. We know it's not. We've got orders from Bush writing off the Geneva conventions, we've got orders from Rumsfeld ordering dog attacks. So we know that the murder, rape, and torture comes from the top on down. We also know about the coverup.

There's an awful lot of talk about "framing the debate." Here's our big chance. This could be the greatest contraversy in the history of the United States. If the administration has its wish, it will all blow over. It's up to every free thinking, freedom loving individual to try and stop them. We know exactly what to expect. So it's up to us.

So what are we going to do?

2. be so prepared for the diversons thrown our way

and make these pukes accountable. these pictures, these videos, these statements are over a year old. our senators and congress persons have viewed them.

And they'll be brand spanking new in seven days.

4. Those additional photos and videos need to be released now

....and not delayed any further. And ALL of the photo evidence should come out, with nothing being withheld so that Americans can judge for themselves the appropriateness of treatment of prisoners at Au Grahib and Gitmo and other POW camps.

5. If they are as bad

as we have been led to believe then nothing will be able to erase them from the memory of the people. They may get distracted but they will not forget. We will always have this as proof of what this administration is all about. Just bring them up at appropriate times and when the people cringe you will know that not only our foot is in the door, we are almost all the way in.

... in reference to like the 50th outrageous crime or scandal that was going to bring him down.



Believe me, I reeeeeally hope I'm wrong, but at this point I think American people don't give a fuck - so much so that Bush could call a press conference, carve up and eat a live human baby on national television, and the pundits would be commending him on his "resolve" and the refined way he used his dinner utensils.

Well, here's actually film of child rape and it directly involves George W. Bush. So we'll find out.

Three years ago Bush was enjoying 90% approval ratings. Now it's down to 42%. All this is having an effect. It's like chopping down a tree.

And July 23rd is the day after July 22nd. And July 23rd was the same date as the first "smoking gun" DSM of 2002. And today June 23rd is the day Rove is getting hammered.

In issuing his order, U.S. District Court Judge Alvin Hellerstein of New York City gave the government until June 30 to get the photos ready by removing information in the pictures that might identify the victims. The judge said the photographs "are the best evidence the public can have of what occurred" at Abu Ghraib.

David Kelley, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, has asked Hellerstein for an extension -- until July 22 -- to get all the images, both video and pictures, ready for release. He said the Army's Criminal Investigation Crime Lab was currently processing the videos frame by frame.
