20. Wasn't referring to you, was referring to Graham.
It's the punchline from an old Lone Ranger/Tonto joke.

4. Word Games
See Vietnam was never labeled a war by our government. Cheap ass way of avoiding the fact that we got our American ass handed to us there.

5. Rummy: "Leadership needs to stand up and tell the truth."
Who the hell believes this?
And while we're at it, let's talk about people being beheaded as more justification for being in Iraq. That wouldn't be happening, asshat, if we weren't over there!

7. there is so much
crap going around on this hearing that it makes you sick. Ask the real questions senators! How many Iraqi police, and soldiers are there trained and operating effectively? Why are there still large numbers of deaths?

13. Gen Abizaid is now on record as saying that a "TET" like....
...corrdinated offensive by the insurgents against American troops in Iraq won't happen. This is great stuff for future quotes that will show that these pricks are totally living in a fantasy world.

22. Rumsfeld admits he has no idea how long this war will go on....
...but he framed it as "four, eight, twelve or more YEARS....I don't know". Jesus Christ they really don't know hat they are doing. They just have to be there to protect the corporate interests. Wow!

So, on top of the $380 billion already spent, we can expect to spend additional treasure in current dollars at the rate of:

$150 billion * 4 years = $600 billion more in war spending

$150 billion * 8 years = $1.2 trillion more in war spending

$150 billion * 12 years = $1.8 trillion more in war spending

$150 billion * 40 years = $6.0 trillion more in war spending

That is a hell of a commitment!:wtf:

15. The only reason we "lost" Vietnam
was LBJ wouldn't take the advice of USAF Gen. Curtis LeMay (aka our real-life version of Gen. Jack D. Ripper from the movie "Dr. Strangelove") to turn it into a radioactive parking lot.

Seriously, this is what Freeper types are saying even now. Okay, so we invaded Iraq with too few troops and it didn't go as smoothly as we had anticipated. But now that the Iraqis are fighting back, we ought to go ahead and nuke the entire country because it is not worth the life of a single additional GI. Ungrateful b@st@rds!
