Police selling drugs... The good, the bad and the ugly.
Police catch Officer selling drugs:
http://www.sunherald.com/mld/sunherald/11802088.htm

Good: He was quickly arrested and will go to prison where he belongs. No cover-ups and no special treatment.

Bad: A criminal went undetected for who knows how long. Probably not for long but who knows.

Ugly: A good department's reputation is damaged by the act of one criminal.

It just goes to show it is hard to weed out the bad ones. It is hard to know what people do in their personal lives. I still say Police should be drug tesedt atleast once a year and criminal sentences should be doubled for all Law Enforcement.

1. Prohibition
offers too much in terms of short term profits. This is probably far more common than we realize. And, as we know, Congress refuses to drug test itself (unwarranted invasion of privacy, don't you know?)...it seems unlikely that the police union (one of the most powerful unions in the country) will allow its members to be illegally searched. And, yes, I believe it to be an illegal search--but somehow Corporate America manages to get away with it year after year.

If WE have to submit to the indignity of unreasonable searches of our person, I damn well think the politicians, judges, and police officers should as well.

That's just my take on it.

Otherwise go to performance testing and stay the hell out of my blood/urine. What we do on our own time is NONE of anyone else's business.

2. It's hard to get worked up over MDMA
I think it should be legal, personally.
