Who loves Margaret Carlson on the left?
I DO! Welcome to Crossfire!

You know, sometimes it takes a whole lot of umms and ahhhhs for her to get to the point, but as a loyal Capital Gang viewer, she comes up with some great one-liners, especially when it comes to debating Novak.

I think she intimidates him! You go girl! :kick:

7. I consider myself a leftist and I hate Margaret Carlson
Hate is not too strong a word when it come to she and her so called liberal panelists on the Crapital Gong Show.
The jury in the Rosen trial in LA came back with an innocent verdict. Margaret and Tweety are going to go into mourning. They so wanted to brand Hillary with guilt by association.
Crapital Gong is dying a slow death, according so some rumors. I read somewhere that they and Crossfire die on or about July 1. Can't happen too soon for me.

11. Actions have consequences
People like Carlson and Tweety have a hand in the fact that chimpie is the current resident of the White House.
You have no problem with the trashing of Al Gore? The trashing of the Clintons?
What emotion would you recommend?

15. Your emotion should be determination to win back the
senate and the White House. Leave the hate for Hannity and Rush and Novak and Coulter and O'Reilly and Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell and all of the other right wing extremists.

I reject your argument that Carlson had a hand in helping Bush get into the White House -- that's lazy logic.

And just FYI....I consider Clinton the greatest president in my lifetime, and I was a huge backer of Gore.

32. Al Hunt and Mark Shields are good
Al Hunt is still a good liberal advocate, and I find Mark Shields to be very objective in his views. Usually I agree with him, but even if don't at times, his opinions are always well thought out and consistent. The rest of them are garbage.

12. She doesn't like Byrd either. Or Gore. Or Dean.
She valued those slanderous lies about Vince Foster. Why, Hillary's finance director would tell tales about Sen. Clinton if he got 15 years! Whatever Colin Powell says, she said, she'll go with!

That's just the kind of "liberal" pundit we need. Yippee!

10. I really like her at times
Granted, I haven't watched Capital Gang or any cable news -- besides CNN Headline news before they got Nancy Grace and crap -- in forever. I think she looks like this timid little woman but really she's not. She says what she thinks. That's probably why I am drawn to her because people think I look timid and I ain't afraid of nothing! (ok, except snakes)

But before seeing her there, I at one point actually thought she was a right-winger.

And then there's the time she signed off of Crossfire with "from Washington, I'm Margaret Carlson" instead of "from the left".

18. Now we're really getting picky
SeveneightyWhoa, maybe she had the producer yelling in her ear to wrap, maybe she forgot her lines since she's not a regular on the show.

Don't you think that since her seating location is on the left side of the set, it goes without saying she's on the left?

38. No. She was..
..embarassed of identifying herself as belonging to "the left". I don't think you can dispute that. I think she wants to be seen as a moderate, and "the left" probably brings up swirling images in her mind of demons, Stalin, and Hillary Clinton.

The last time I saw Margaret Carlson, she was featured in the collage at the top of the page on Media Whores Online. I can't imagine she's changed all that much since those halcyon days of whoredom.

Crossfire??? WTF? I thought that shit was cancelled.

25. Nice vulgar response w/ the kneepads comment. You're better than that.
How about trying NOT TO ADD people, who don't agree with every single issue you stand for, to your "screw you" list?

I don't agree with everything Carlson says, just as I didn't agree with everything my favorite president Bill Clinton says, or my favorite person in the world (James Carville) says.

Families disagree about things. That's life. But you move on and unite, and that's what we need to start doing to get ready for 2006.

Peace

24. you know who I like?
Now don't attack me... John McLaughlin. He just cracks me up with his grumpy attitude and his shouting, "WRONG!" at everyone. How can anyone take him seriously with all his yelling? I hardly ever remember when his show is on, but when I do I can't help but laugh. And it often seems like the panel is trying not to crack up as well. His choice of panelists suck... Tony Blankley is on every time I watch and I can't stand that blow-hard.

Everyone is just "WRONG!"

She's no friend of the left. She demeaned Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Howard Dean every chance she got because she thought it was "fun."

Margaret Carlson is a pseudo-journalist who loves to brag about her days as a Playboy bunny.

42. Well, cboy4,
when you post an opinion on DU you have to expect some people to disagree with you. That's the way it works here.

We have a lot of folks here with different opinions and that may or may not please you, but that's the way it is.

When you say you like or dislike a certain person there will ALWAYS be somebody who has the opposite point of view.

That's what make DU interesting, IMHO.
