Tony Danza had RFK Jr. on yesterday...John Stossel today
:eyes:

RFKJ was outstanding--as usual. The Cons have to "balance" truth with propoganda so Stossel's about to spew some tripe about why women are paid less than men. Excuse me while I reach for the remote.

1. RFKj is a hypocrite, opposing Cape Cod windmills
because it will spoil the view for him and his millionaire friends.

5. What a jerk!
Wind energy is about as clean as you can get.

That article makes we want to puke.

We'll never get alternative energies now.

8. RFK jr is about RFK jr, first and foremost
First off, he's actually my neighbor, in a sense. We both live in the same town, and I've seen him out and about -- driving his family around in an oversized Acura SUV, no less.

RFK jr started a big fight with the NYC Dept. of Environmental Protection over some problems with the aquaducts from the West-of-Hudson reservoirs, where NYC gets most of its water. The main aquaduct -- the Delaware -- is leaking tremendous amounts of water. RFK jr went on the record as saying, "The first thing you do when something like this happens is drill test borings and find out where the problem is."

No, that is NOT what you do, dumbass. Unlike RFK jr, I actually AM an engineer -- I don't just pretend to be one because I happened to stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. If people did what he is calling for, the whole damned aquaduct could collapse, REALLY screwing things up. In fact, the whole reason that NYC doesn't shut the aquaduct down for exploration is that they're worried that it will collapse in the absence of water pressure.

His opposing wind farms at Cape Cod is just in keeping with the kind of environmentalism that he practices -- NIMBYism. It's the same kind of shit that drove me out of my local Sierra Club. People want to wag their fingers and call for "preserving nature", but are completely unwilling to make any considerable changes in their personal lives to really make a difference.

11. Hardly. Rather, he's typical of Democrats who live...

... affluent lives in affluent regions. I'm surrounded by them where I live. They all claim to care about social justice and the environment, yet live in oversized McMansions and drive everywhere they go in SUV's.

And before anybody jumps on me, I live in a 2-BR co-op in town so I can walk to almost anything, and I try to ride my bike for local errands when the weather allows. I also drive a Honda Civic when I have to drive, and take public transit to and from work every day.

2. why are women paid less than men?
simple, there is a lot of competition for the cooking and cleaning jobs, if you won't do it, I'll hire an illegal for 2 bucks less.

donning flame retardant suit, NOW.

7. "Frontiers in Science" with Paris Hilton???

I can't wait for the hard hitting journalism we'd be subject to there. We'd get compelling stories on important scientific discoveries in Plastic surgery, breakthoughs in Cosmetics and Dietary suppliments, and the molecular diagram of the perfect ginger-infused cosmopolitan.

12. But that's what all the wingers say now when confronted.

Even for them, it's getting to be too embarrassing to admit they supported the chimp.

"Oh well I was never really a Republican. I was more of a Libertarian myself." Yeah right, the fucking liars.
