free republic are sick puppies
here is what they are saying about mccain:

"If he didnt serve his country as an POW I'd say deport him"

He didn't serve as a POW! He f'ed up and crashed an aircraft. He got captured and spent some, reportedly, cushy time in the Hanoi Hilton. To my knowledge he never pulled the trigger at the enemy. There are lots of VERY credible stories about his actions while there.

I wouldn't trust the crazy SOB as far as I can throw him!"

these people are extremely dangerous. This is what you get for 10 years of hate being spewed out on right wing radio

If the dems in congress would just stand united, maybe some repugs would switch votes, and stop this insanity

unfortunately, I doubt that the dems will stand united or the repugs would switch votes

we are really screwed

34. I used to wonder if they were out of context stuff
that maybe the insane voices would be drowned out in a chorus of insantiy - I've seen that happen on the DU. It just doesn't seem to happen in the freak republic

30. OMG - they are so sick, they all need a good rest...
back to the original "Hanoi Hilton" - cushy wasn't the word for that place. On the other hand, McCain lost my respect. A vet who knows better sold his soul to the devil - so to speak!

Someone in the Bush camp leaked a "Manchurian Candidate" rumor about McCain to the underground press. They're all shits.

10. So they're treating him the same way they treated
that decorated veteran, John Kerry, eh?

Just goes to show, they don't care, they have no shame at all, they'll slime and smear their own grandmother if they thought it would be advantageous to them.

Wow, nasty little things aren't they? He WASN'T a POW?

Here's how I see it: I don't care WHAT your party affiliation is, if you are a veteran, that is something I am NOT going to belittle or question EVER. And I do mean EVER. You will never hear me bad-mouthing a veteran where it has anything to do with their service. I may badmouth their political affiliation, their actions as an elected official, but I will never question or badmouth their service, period.

But then again, I'm not a repuke.

20. I think it's sad
I think it's sad. I may not be a huge McCain fan but this point I think he was really sincere in helping. I don't like how he whored around for Bush instead of someone who's SUPPOSED to be his friend and instead of helping us change our country for the better. It's just disgusting. When I first read about McCain's story my heart went out to the poor guy. I wish he stud up to Bush more in the primaries. *sigh*

13. Fucked up and crashed his plane?
CUSHY TIME IN HANOI HILTON? God in heaven, these fucks are so goddamned dumb, it's hard to believe. You can call the Hanoi Hilton many, many things, but cushy sure as hell ain't one of them! Fucks like that idiot wouldn't last ten minutes in a place like that.

And do these ignorant, inbred fucks know that McCain could have been released a lot sooner than he was? His father was a big-shot general and he was going to be released just because of that. Unlike a certain other child of privilege who currently resides in the White House, McCain refused to allow that, though, saying that he shouldn't get any preferential treatment and that it wouldn't be fair to his fellow American POW's. How many of those ignorant, inbred, cowardly freeptards would even think of doing such a thing? Where in the fuck do they get this kind of shit, anyway?

31. No, McCain didn't have to go and...
he could have been released from the "Hanoi Hilton" because of his Dad, and wouldn't. His service deserves more respect then these ignorant kids would ever know. So, I disagree with his roll over for Bush, but you can never fault his service to his country. He wouldn't leave his men, old W didn't go at all. W would have sold his own dad out if he had been in the "HH".:grr:

17. Omigod! I'm no longer afan of McCain's but
at least i give him credit for having endured the torture while being held. He turned down an opportunity to come home early because they weren't releasing ALL of the prisoners (they wanted to give him special treatment because his father was an admiral and to demoralize the rest of the prisoners).

These freeper freaks have bought the Rovian garbage that he was really at a Vietnamese spa!

As far as I know, the U.S. doesn't deport natural-born citizens citizens. The freepers might have meant "exile," which we also don't do to citizens, further proving your point about them being sick puppies.
