I'm sorry, guys. She has the right ideas, even if she does drive them home with a sledgehammer. But her HORRIBLE VOICE...whining, monotone, nasal...she creeps me out. She is a pro broadcaster with years of experience. Why in hell hasn't she gone to a vocal coach to train her voice to express her thoughts in a listenable form? Change her pitch? Learn how to change emphasis, raise AND lower her voice's volume? Open her mouth, enunciate with her lips and teeth? Katherine Lampert knows how to use her voice; maybe she could teach Rhodes a few things.

It was a pleasure to listen to the guy from the Black Eagle that followed Rhodes in the hearings. He spoke with the cadence of a good preacher, inducing emotion in every phrase. Listening to him after Rhodes's drone was like sunrise after a dull rainy day. (For that matter, what happened to the few black voices on Air America?)

I am not at all bothered by Randi's voice. She has the typical NY Jewish woman's voice, only not quite as nasal.

It is WHAT she is saying that is important.

She is quick and funny and smart.... A potent combination. She doesn't run away from the confrontations that the Limbaugh's of the world do. She meets them head on and tries, albeit at times it doesn't work, to show them the truth...

BUT, that said.... My spouse had the same reaction until he listened for several days -- That spouse is now won over....

My kids are so used to hearing her they think she is part of the family...

To hear her live on the West Coast, you have to use your computer... Otherwise Clear Channel has her on during drive time - 3 to 7 (In my case they cut off the last hour of her broadcast and so we only hear the 3 to 6 drive time slot.)

When Schultz goes on some sports rampage that I have ZERO interest in, I turn her on in my office via the computer link...
