Laura Bush: "A SPRINGTIME OF HOPE is dawning on the Middle East"

A "springtime of hope" is dawning on the Middle East, with promising democratic openings under way in several countries, US first lady Laura Bush said Saturday.

Speaking to the World Economic Forum at this Dead Sea resort, Bush said a "time of unprecedented change" had brought elections in Iraq, the Palestinian territories and Afghanistan...

"Now we see a springtime of hope across the Middle East," Bush told the audience, which included myriad regional business and political leaders as well as a six-member delegation from the US Congress. "We believe the world is witnessing a new era of expanding liberty for men and women worldwide."

Mrs. Bush said she hopes her Mideast tour will help repair the U.S. image damaged by a recently retracted Newsweek report that American interrogators desecrated the Qur’an at Guantanamo Bay, as well as the abuse scandal at Abu Ghraib prison outside Baghdad.

"We've had terrible happenings that have really, really hurt our image of the United States," she said.

"People in the United States are sick about it."

"I hope that the Middle East, the broader Middle East, get to know Americans like we really are," Mrs. Bush told reporters before arriving in Amman.

"I don’t think they really have the sense of Americans being religious."

Bush's speech was made as the usual bumbling buffoon idiot, talking about the Soddom pictures and nasty underwear presentations.

Karl Rove and his herr squad likely leaked the pictures themselves, obviously to deflect attention and hopefully rouse another vicious terrorist attack.

I'm sure Ralph Reed, Dobson and the other psychotics had him do it also. So Bush they could care less about....If he lives or dies is of no consequence anymore, he's just a sad pathetic fatboy who would have been eaten by the sharks or destroyed by some "strange plane" flying overhead of the White House.

Laura on the other hand is a different story, I bet you they want to schmooze her all up for an official debut as Senator Laura Bush of the state of New York. If they can get control of New York, down goes the opposition or so they say. Or even on top of that, Laura is probably phony enough that they want her to be put on a huge pedastal as the next president of the United States.

What better way to keep pulling the strings of the war on terror? At this point, it's doubtful any of them would ever run for Senate or President themselves.....Given how vile they are and how utterly evil their right-wing bigotry is.

A little money goes a long ways to convincing someone to become your pawn.
