Al-Jazeera Reporter Denies al-Qaida Ties (Hmmm, I always said that
Al Jazeera was a CIA run outfit, and it's common knowledge that Al Queda was set up by the CIA as well... more pieces of the puzzle fall together, whoops!

MADRID, Spain - A war correspondent with the Arab satellite television station Al-Jazeera denied charges Monday that he had close ties to the alleged leader of a Spanish al-Qaida cell accused of helping plot the Sept. 11 attacks in the United States.

Tayssir Alouni, 50, who interviewed Osama bin Laden shortly after the attacks, is among 24 suspects on trial here in Europe's biggest court case against radical groups with alleged ties to the terror network.

Three suspects are accused specifically of using Spain as a staging ground to help plan the suicide airliner attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Alouni, a Syrian-born Spaniard, is among the other 21, accused of terrorism, weapons possession or other offenses — but not helping plan the Sept. 11 attacks.

1. But the Madrid bombers
had nothing to do with "al-Qaeda". Some of the involved were used as informants for Spanish police though, which is a rather interesting fact. That Maroccon islamist group was apparently infiltrated by Spanish police.

If al Jazeera have intel connections, my money would be on the MI6. The people who started al-Jazeera had all worked for the BBC in London, and British intel has maintained ties with Muslim radicals since before WWII. According to some well-informed sources, they even helped set up the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt in 1928, in cooperation with Egyptian elites. The Brotherhood (Ikhwan) spawned militant groups such as the Islamic Jihad, which were involved in the murder of Sadat in 1981 and which was led by Dr Ayman Al-Zawahiri, often called the real leader of "al-Qaeda". The MI6 probably played a significant role in the Iranian revolution which brought Ayatollah Khomeini to power as well.
