The 10% number comes from the famous Kinsey report. More recent studies and census numbers have said anywhere from 1-3%, others go as high as 5-7%. So like anything else, I guess it depends on "which" study you cite. My initially reference was based on US census numbers for households that identified themselves as gay/lesbian.

That number was just under 1% and I added a +2% to help cover data from other studies.

I dont know really.. I was just simply tying to answer the posters question of "how many of these kids will grow up to be gay" ? Seemed like a pretty straight forward question that needed a "best estimate" answer based on available information.

I called them and that's the Phelps Attorney. They said that the site is promoting "the word of god". The number to the church is 785-273-0325. I called them and asked them why they are promoting hate...they said you can read the web site and if you have a complaint "you can shut the hell up".
