What do people here think of my interpretation of the Harkin Amendment
in the overtime bill?

I find the language in the amendment to be very weak and bypassable.

1. I would agree it's not a defeat
but it's a start, and maybe an appropriations bill is a good place to sneak it in. Correct me if I'm wrong... but the labor rules in question aren't coming out of congress right? They would have to pass a bill speaking directly to labor standards to directly defeat the overtime pay issue.
