Lawman Likes Eye In The Sky As Monitor
Did ya'll see this? I don't like this idea.

If a kite appears to be following you in La Plata, Md., it very well may be.

The Charles County Sheriff's Office recently monitored a gathering of motorcycle riders by launching a remote-control aerial camera to
watch for emergencies or troublemakers.

An official said yesterday the battery-powered spy plane was launched as a test run and that he's not sure whether the agency will buy the
craft — but the results were good.

"I liked what I saw," said Lt. Chris Becker, the agency's commander of homeland security and intelligence. "A tactical operations team
member could readily carry it in the trunk of his patrol car and assemble it in just minutes."

2. Motorcycle riders?
I assume this was was monitored mainly because it was a gathering; nevertheless, "Easy Rider" is what immediately sprang to my mind. Another movie that doesn't seem so far removed from today anymore. :(

4. Outrage, yes
However the fact of the matter is that such surveillance isn't new, just the toys used that are used.

If you live in any kind of urban area, you are being watched, with photo taken, within a block of your house. Traffic cams, security cams, hell, corporate America carrys a lot of the dirty water for the government on this one, since they can legaly watch people a lot easier than the government can. And since the unveiling of the Patriot Act, it's a lot easier for the government to get their hands on private film.

Go to a protest, or gathering of any sort, you're picture is taken. Even when you're out in the middle of nowhere, there is always the satellite overhead to take your picture.

This spy plane is simply another CIA toy, and one that may or may not be effective. My bet is that somebody a lot more serious than this biker gang will start taking shots at it. If it can be brought down, then they will move on to the next toy.

Yes, we're being watched. We have been under increasing scrutiny for the past twenty five years. Welcome to Amerikkka.
