Bush says people will even be able to invest in "Treasury" notes...
if they wish. In explaining the investment options of his "private" accounts, he included Treasury notes, but why would people take their SS money out of Treasury notes so they could put them back into Treeasury notes???

3. They'll make $$$ on it as well as Wall Street Investors.
Listening carefully about that on C-Span recently.

Chimp airs on Thur night; known to all as best night for watching favorite TV shows.

Other side does not care... Pied Piper syndrome.

10. That's the plan he's modeling it after...
The Thrift Savings Plan for federal employees has 5 investment options. The "G Fund" invests in Treasury notes.

11. Treasuries are a good investment....
But SS is already invested in Treasury notes, aren't they? Don't they draw interest? So why would someone take it out of SS fund just so they could invest it in another Treasury note??

12. Because now that money would be filtered through money managers who for
a large fee will put you into treasury notes they choose.

Those special treasury notes that all the Harvard MBAs bless as they take your money to the bank laughing all the way.HAHAHA.

Can you say snake oil salesman?
