Poll question: POLL: Turkey EU membership and the Armenian Genocide

Today hundreds of thousands marched in Yerevan, Armenia demanding that Turkey admit that the genocide of 1915 actually happened.

In 1915, 900,000 Armenians were killed in modern-day Turkey in the 20th century's first genocide. Millions of others were exiled Turkey has always denied this. Many in Europe are pressing Turkey to come to terms with the past and publically recognise the genocide of the Armenians as a precondition to Turkey's admittence to the EU.

1. Christian Europe should apologize for the Crusades

before being admitted into the UN. This apology crap is out of hand. The people reponsable for the crimes are dead. Those who might make apologies weren't even born.

2. They shouldn't need to apologize, but they should recognize it did happen.

What is past is past and nothing can change it. There is no point to hide it.

3. I believe exceptions should be made for events within living memory

Such as why slave reparations differ from that of holocaust survivors.
