A Life well lived.Marla Ruzicka,RIP.
Edited on Mon Apr-18-05 11:48 AM by KlatooBNikto
Today is a sad day for all of us. A young woman who stood for what Americans believe in and acted to alleviate the suffering of others is dead. While we mourn her, it would also be well to remember that she has inspired many other young people to follow in her brave and compassionate footsteps. There will be many more Marla Ruzickas for the world to deal with in the future.

Marla, we love you. God bless you for bringing some light into our lives.

1. Thank you, Maria. you'll be missed
Another reason to STOP THE WAR NOW!

I'm waiting for the Freepers to start posthumously reaming her like they did Rachel Corrie.

4. It's Marla. And such a horrible loss.
That amazing woman did more in her short life than most of us will do in a lifetime.

3. Now, THAT is true 'Christian'
Edited on Mon Apr-18-05 11:42 AM by Triana
...for all the huffing and flapping the neocons/fascists/CONservatives do about 'morality' and 'values' - their actions belie a different more self-serving attitude.

Marla, however, DID what Jesus himself would have done - and what a true 'moral' or 'Christian' person would have done. She makes the plastic 'Wal-Mart' moralists look like the pathetic, self-serving hypocrites they are.

She showed them how it's done. I doubt the blustering Tom DeLays, Pat Robertsons and Jerry Falwells are paying a damn bit of attention though - to what a true Christian is.

5. The silence of our born again president at this horrendous loss
speaks for itself. Why are the Democratic leaders also silent?
