Ok, I gave Bill Maher another chance tonight. Turned it off already.
I decided I had maybe been too critical, so I turned it on. I can not tolerate his implications that all is well in Iraq, that we were right to go there. Every time we have tried to watch this year, he has done basically the same thing. In effect, he is going along with the lies about Iraq.

He and Friedman were having an "Iraq is good" fest, and things are going to be fine. That is an insult to our military and to the Iraqis. Continuing a lie is wrong.

10. There was a party after the show
Apparently, Wes and Maher argued for an hour and a half. Wes smacked him down good people say, who were there. Maybe there will be a followup show.

3. I'm hoping so, too.
If anyone can convince Maher of this, it's Clark.

However, I am HBO-deficient, so I'm relying on friends of DU and WesPAC to post the running commentary.

4. I love Clark.
I have often thought how things might have been different if Kerry chose him as his running mate.

6. Why doesn't that dumb fucker just go to Iraq ...
walk around the streets of Baghdad, then tell everybody how great everything is going? Maher is a spineless ass, as he demonstrated after 9-11.

8. I can't stand David Frum...
That guy bugs the shit out of me.

Bill Maher is starting to bug the shit out of me, too, with his stupid "Maybe Bush was right" bullshit.

I thought Maher had more sense than that...

9. Maher's part of the problem
Edited on Sat Apr-16-05 01:04 AM by Andromeda
and not the solution. He and other Bushbots are spreading misinformation and our troops, the Iraqi people and our country are suffering because of it.

I used to think Maher was funny and well-informed. No more.
